Development Manager Backend

The successful candidate will work closely with SVP R&D and development teams and use the latest technologies in a fast-paced environment developing platforms for payment services. The goal is to maximize our productivity and help our company grow.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of senior Java developers and team leaders and ensure development is on track and to the highest standards
• Manage software development releases by setting requirements, goals and timelines
• Execute agile development methodologies and make sure these drive the development roadmap in line with best practices
• Work closely with the Product team. Provide guidance, feedback and input on the product pipeline and roadmap
• Keep the development teams motivated and engaged
• Participate in planning the technology vision and evolving our core platform, overseeing development to ensure it follows the technology strategy

Requirements

• At least 5 years software development experience with Java
• At least 3 years' experience leading teams of technical professionals
• Ability to define a development roadmap and understanding of all aspects of this task
• Ability to establish and improve development processes
• Degree in Computer Science is an advantage
• Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented, motivated, self-starter who can work without supervision
• Fluency in English
• Experience working with a high-performance platform is a plus
• Willingness to actively participate in the knowledge-sharing within the company
