ParkBee

Job Description

We are ParkBee
At ParkBee we optimize the use of parking spaces. In this way, we help property owners, ensure the best experience for car drivers, and most important of all, give space back to the city!

In order to do all that, we need to be on top of our game, developing and reinventing ourselves to achieve our bold mission; accelerate and lead the digitalisation of the parking industry!

With our roots in Amsterdam and offices in the Netherlands and in the UK, we have laid the foundation to conquer the rest of Europe. By partnering up with platforms like Parkmobile, Park-line and RingGo our success is spreading like wildfire. Grab the opportunity to join our movement.

How you contribute to ParkBee
Our mission is bold and challenging. As our Medior Developer, you will be coding right in the heart of ParkBee. Having thousands of loyal users already, we are getting ready to build a stable, scalable and user-friendly platform to prepare for our next growth. You will work on core parts of our system: build new features, integrations and API’s from scratch. You won’t turn your back on continuous improvements, code reviews and feature testing. Together with your team of skilled developers and the Product Owner you’ll define and execute our development roadmap. We sincerely look forward to hearing what’s on your mind, too.

Is this your spot?
You love to be seen as a valued colleague, are curious about new tech, eager to solve complex problems and thrive in the dynamics of a scaleup. Then, join one of the 6 teams that focus on a specific aspect of our business. Together with Ruurd-Jan (Head of Engineering) and our team, you will write history by creating the future of ParkBee. Combine that with solving a worldwide problem, and you get the legacy you want to leave behind, right?

We have your perfect spot if you:

  • Have at least 3 years of experience working as a .NET developer;

  • Have solid experience with the newest tech: .NET Core;

  • Have some experience with Kubernetes;

  • Have a solid understanding of git workflows;

  • Are familiar with REST and RPC principles;

  • Have the drive and feeling of responsibility to design well-thought-through solutions, instead of simply implementing acceptance criteria;

  • Know when and how to use (non-relational) Databases, Design Patterns and testing methodologies like unit, integration and performance testing;

  • Have excellent communication skills and dare to take opportunities;

  • Knowledge of distributed systems (and monitoring them) and microservices is a plus;

  • Knowledge of public clouds (AWS) is a plus;

  • Experience with performance tuning is a plus;

  • Have a good understanding of Agile and SCRUM.

Park with us!

Not only will you help reshape city parking, but you’ll also rapidly move your career forward. We offer:

  • A challenging job that covers your bills, hobbies and bucket list;

  • Fun Innovation Fridays – tweak, hack, break, discover and, have fun!;

  • An ambitious team of colleagues from all over the world;

  • Personal development budget of €1500 a year tailored to your growth plans;

  • Pension Scheme, Macbook, 25 days holiday, daily fresh lunch & awesome team events;

  • Visa sponsorship and 30% ruling for internationals;

  • Inspiring office in Amsterdam on the same fruitful soil as leading companies like Amazon and eBay (where we would love to have you around for at least 3 days a week).

Sounds good? We would love to hear from you!
