Great opportunity at ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions for a Product Developer Firmware to join our amazing team in Stockholm!

We are developing and maintaining a very successful combined alarm and access control system called ARX. The system is based on high security and capacity, scalable and redundant infrastructure. What will you do as our Product Developer Firmware

You will be a key player of a team of 10-15 people where there is plenty of opportunity of shaping our journey while learning and developing. Beside the firmware of the Controller Units, we are within the team also working with ARX Server/Client implementation and verification (SW, FW and System). We are working according to agile methods.

The scope of the role is Scandinavia and you will have the chance to interact and cooperate closely with many different professionals and functions across our organization such as product owners, customer support and projects for peripheral equipment. There will also be opportunities to work together with installers that are working at customer sites/installations.

 

In this role you would also:

  • Propose and implement new product designs within the innovation and product development projects.
  • Propose and implement product customizations, customer issues fixes and quality assurance for the development.
  • Update and revise product related documents such as specifications, drawings and other relevant R&D related documentation.
  • Follow the innovation process, its decision points using the provided reporting tools (Jira & Confluence) for the daily product development.
  • Participate in quality increasing activities.
  • Work with continuously improvements.

 

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Technical education within mechanics or mechatronics, electronics, system development regarding software or other relevant education or relevant professional experience
  • Good knowledge and approx. 5+ years of experience in Software development for embedded commercial systems (C, Linux, Git)
  • Structured way of working
  • Power of initiative and ability to work in groups or independently when applicable
  • Analytical and problem solver
  • “Technology first” approach
  • A team player, as we are a tight team that must work together with all functionality of the product.
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Swedish (verbal and written)
