Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a (Remote) Associate Cybersecurity Consultant to support our Risk Consulting practice. This position assists Senior Consultants in planning and executing information technology audits, client risk assessments, and GRC Advisory engagements for our rapidly expanding client portfolio. QualificationsSupport Senior Consultants with onsite assessments, such as SOC, ISO 27001, and HIPAA engagementsManage client relationships and expectations with effective communicationCoordinate day-to-day operations with Senior Consultants and clients (i.e. schedule and lead meetings; create agendas; develop document request lists; document walkthrough narratives, control designs and tests of operating effectiveness)Assist Senior Consultants with the preparation and review of draft reportsAssist with audit quality and assurance proceduresUtilize base knowledge of information security systems, risks and controlsPerform other administrative duties and assist with internal initiatives as assigned Job Perks and BenefitsBachelors degree from an accredited university in accounting, IT or a related fieldOne to two (1-2) years of experience in information security, IT audit or a related field, preferably from a large national consulting or CPA firmFocused experience with SOC audits (SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3, SOC for Cybersecurity)Ideally, working knowledge and technical experience with Windows OS, Linux, AWS, GCP, Azure, and SQL ServerFamiliarity with tools, such as GSuite, JIRA, Confluence, SlackExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsExemplary time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritiesSelf starter with a solution-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, at times with well-defined goals, but limited formal procedures/structuresMust be a team player, passionate about the BARR mission, and have an innovative mindsetWorking toward or already have certifications, such as CISA, CISSP, CPA, QSA, and others related to information security and audit Job LocationVirtual/United States Job TypeFull time/regular Interested applicants should send their cover letter and résumé to email@example.com.
