Responsibilities : -Technical, hands-on candidate whose primary responsibility will be developing code (using Java language) and testing (Unit, Functional and Performance testing) -Having sound understanding of architecture and design principles for developing custom applications -Become familiar with internal business service standards to promote reuse across the organization -Building out automation systems for testing and development work flow -Responsible for supporting the various cloud and on premise platforms - Ability to review and trouble shoot coding issues and various platform issues - Writing test automation and ability to test application functionally according to specification - Building test script and running performance test using different open source, and other home grown and vendor product - Install and deploy, configure software (vendor product and custom built software) - Set up monitoring systems for all new hardware and software - Perform and automate, and monitor Software (vendor product and custom built software) - Configure and manage the automated deployment process - Analyze and resolve complex technical problems, particularly pertaining to Big Data products and applications Requirements/Qualifications : - 5+ years of experience with Linux, Unix and open source platforms and/or Cloud native system in a DevOps setup - 7+ years developing applications leveraging Java/J2EE, Web Services (SOAP, REST), JSON, Spring and Hibernate. - 2+ years of hands on experience of using standard CICD/devops tools such as GitHub, GoCD, Jenkins, Ant, Maven, Gradle, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Artifactory etc. -Minimum 1+ years of experience with scripting and/or development as it relates to automation -Minimum 1+ years of experience with both SQL and NoSQL (Cassandra, Mongo, Redis, HBase etc.) - Minimum 2+ year of experience working on JUnit test cases -Minimum 2+ years of working experience of Tomcat (or any application server) - Having 1 year of experience writing code in C' (or Python) - Having 1 year of experience with stream processing Software (Kafka ) - Having experience of writing functional test cases, integration test cases -Requires understanding of complete SDLC and Experience with continuous integration, test-driven/behavior-driven development, and agile, scrum development methodologies -Familiarity with VMWare , OpenStack or other PaaS cloud platforms (CloudFoundry). - Familiarity with ELK Stack (Elastic Search, logstash, Kibana) for monitoring - Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services - Familiarity with OpenSource data collector (like Fluentd/td-agent) - Familiarity with Monitoring tool (AppDynamics, , Prometheus , Grafana etc.) -Track record of managing multiple priorities and competing demands - Willingness to support production systems and to be part of on-call. - Excellent in troubleshooting Java application and network related issues. - Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written. - Experience in writing technical system admin guides, installation guides and troubleshooting guides -Working knowledge/Understanding of Docker, kubernetes -Working knowledge of network principles (DHCP, FTP etc.) is desired - Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent experience - Ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries Comcast is anEOE/Veterans/Disabled/LGBT employerand all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, marital status, affectional or sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, nationality, sex or any other legally protected category.
