Job DescriptionAbout the team/job We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Storage Administrator who is keen to learn and try new, many times cutting-edge, systems and technologies. They will be joining the Systems Infrastructure Team at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) located at the Wellcome Trust Genome Campus near Cambridge in the UK. This position is in the Storage team which is responsible for EBI's central storage. Your role You will be managing some of EBI's large scale object, file and block storage systems together with the other three storage administrators. This will include storage used by EBI's researchers, Production Teams, Services and private cloud infrastructures. You have A degree in Computer Science or related discipline or have equivalent work experience and the ability to work effectively in English Experience and interest in managing Enterprise class storage systems The ability to work effectively in a team environment The desire to learn and keep up with technology advances Personal organisation, time management, and excellent communications skills are essential.
