We are currently looking to hire an experienced Technical Consultant with the primary role of training delivery to our staff, customers and partners in Europe and North America.   The successful candidate will join the growing Consulting Team in Professional Services, working primarily as part of the FINEOS Corporate University. While this is primarily a training delivery role; this is not a typical technical trainer role. This is a hybrid role where at times you may be required to work as part of customer implementation teams in a broader technical consulting capability. Key Role Activities Training Delivery Prepa re and deliver technical training sessions to staff, partners and customers on premise or remotely. Worki ng directly with the FINEOS Training Account Manager to carry out the training from beginning to end including capturing attendee feedback and lessons learnt. Manag ing and coordination of attendee training environment set up. Ensur ing the security of FINEOS technical training environments is maintained. Maint enance and troubleshooting of FINEOS technical training software and environments. Updat ing FINEOS training collateral regularly to keep in line with new FINEOS Platform releases. Ident ifying and developing new courses for training delivery including the creation of quality training material. Const antly improving your knowledge of the FINEOS Platform, its related components and improvements being rolled from the Product backlog.           Develop an understanding and knowledge of insurance and our customer. Supporting the wider implementation of the FINEOS eLearning strategy. Work with the FINEOS training Account Manager to agree scheduling of training deliveries. Technical Consulting Parti cipate in requirements elicitation, analyses and design, driving solution implementation and carry through to the handover of major custom components to the FINEOS Support team Provi de input to the selection of the appropriate technologies (languages, middle-ware, cloud, etc.) for the solution Produ ce quality technical documentation to support the design and development process Manag e the development of individual solution components within a project Parti cipate in the creation and review of estimates around technical aspects of the solution Ensur e all aspects of good design and construction are delivered, including:o   Modularity, interoperability and upgradability o &nb sp; Performance, scalability and security Work with peers within the client organisation to ensure a successful delivery Work closely with Solution Architects and Business Consultants for direction and compliance Identify and capture areas for improvement/innovation for subsequent technical consultancy service transformation Deploy FINEOS solutions in-house and onsite Troubleshoot FINEOS solutions onsite Develop an understanding and knowledge of insurance and our customers Understanding and manipulating the data model at a database level Constantly learn new features of out-of-box FINEOS product, reduce customization and promote improvements into product Required S kills & Experience 4+ years experience in a technical consulting or technical training role. Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, IT or equivalent course Relevant Technical Training and Learning Management System qualifications. Strong analysis, design & solutioning skills Strong communication, documentation and presentation skills. Willingness to take ownership of significant elements of an overall solution Comfortable working under pressure Proven complex technical problem-solving skills Expert knowledge of specific technologies: Java, including JEE technologies such as JSP, JDBC, JNDI Application servers: Websphere, Weblogic, Tomcat, JBoss Databases: Oracle, SQL Server Development Tools: Gradle, Ant, Eclipse, JUnit, Git, Subversion Proven experience of using integration technologies such as SOA, Web API standards, SOAP and REST Positive and supportive team player Experience of working remotely in a vendor environment on client sites Strong communication skills and proven ability to deliver without direct supervision Experience with Cloud technologies (environments, deployments, project life cycle), in particular AWS, a distinct advantage Experience working within the insurance sector a distinct advantage Ability to travel in Europe and North American up to 50% required.
