Description & Requirements The Infor Document Management (IDM) is seeking a skilled Junior Software Eng. Engineer who is passionate and wants to learn about automation in AWS and Azure. As a Junior DevOps Engineer you will contribute to various projects spanning across critical technical deliveries, regulatory initiatives and platform enhancements requested by the Product Owner or Business Users. This is a chance to do something cool and exciting! You will help shape the application and architecture that will become the engine driving the company's growth and success.  
A Day in The Life Typically Includes:  
As a Junior Software Eng. Engineer You will work closely with the Developers, Business Analysts, Architects and Project Managers to deliver design and technical solutions and participate in all aspects of analysis, design, implementation and deployment of automation software related to the in-scope applications. As a Junior Software Eng. Engineer you will need to be a good communicator as you will interact with various stakeholders on a regular basis. You will be involved in the main aspects of software development lifecycle like:

• Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
• Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
• Working with teammates to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions

 
Required skills:  

• Knowledgeable in Software Eng. approaches and best practices.
• Knowledgeable in Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to develop and deliver.
• Problem-solving attitude
• Collaborative team spirit
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace.
• Knowledgeable in Object-Oriented software design.
• Knowledgeable in J2EE development.
• Proficient with git and git workflows
• Good knowledge of Python
• Database exposure is a plus, including knowledge of SQL, and related data stores such as Postgres.
• Ability to communicate in English.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
• Certification as an Azure or AWS Cloud Developer is a plus.
• Experience with enterprise level applications and cloud-based services, in either Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon AWS is a plus.
