ING is hiring an API Platform / Service Discovery developer Your working environment: You will be working within the API Platform of ING, which delivers a set of components that enable our global API Strategy. Your team is building the Service Discovery solution for ING Global. Your job description: Your team is part of the API Platform and provides generic solutions for other teams that build and run APIs. The user community of your product consists of hundreds of DevOps teams from all over the world. There will be regular alignment meetings from which new feature requests may arise, and other teams could contribute to the product just like with open source products. Just as the members of your products community can submit merge requests, within your team collaboration is done following the same process, so it is important that you have experience with this way of working. Who are we looking for? We are looking for a senior Scala/Akka developer that has experience with RESTful APIs and is able to work in a highly dynamic and international ING context. Proven engineering skills are a must and you will be required to shows these during the selection process. The person applying for this role needs to have knowledge of and experience with RESTful API development and open source technology & way of working. As the product of your team will be of key important in our infrastructure, high quality standards and doing whatever is needed to achieve those, is a must. In order to fit well in your new team, the minimal requirements on your profile are: - Excellent Java, Scala and Akka skills - Experience in delivering high available systems - Thorough understanding of Functional and Reactive Programming principles and architectures - Very high quality standards - Experience with REST as architectural style - Good understanding of working with pull-requests - Good communication and social skills
