Youll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of whats being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: BS/BA degree or equivalent experience Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines Understanding of architecture and design across all systems Working proficiency in developmental toolsets Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals Deep Java Knowledge Ability to design and build complex systems from scratch Integration REST APIs, JDBC, SQL, JMX Experience with SOA/Microservices. Modern SDLC (TDD, CI, Automation) Leadership/Coaching/Mentoring Excellent communication skills - the ability to communicate at a level commensurate with the audience at hand, be they expert or non-expert. Understanding of Agile and Lean thinking/DevOps Working in a globally distributed team. Desirable Skills but not required: Web Application design and development - HTML5 / CSS3/ReactJS/jQuery Strong knowledge of UNIX and/or UNIX like operating systems. Perl, Python. Knowledge of systems monitoring tools Experience with messaging technologies, especially AMPS. NOSQL Databases Interest in or experience with machine learning/data science.
