Job DescriptionDuties: Design, deploy, and support the technology infrastructure that provides for the consumption of real-time exchange feeds internally. Deploy both decision support applications (desktop applications) as well as algorithmic trading systems (co-located server based applications). Develop and support home grown and open source solutions designed to support the needs of the consumers throughout the Bank. Contribute to open source projects. Vet and implement critical solutions. Analyze and articulate problems and provide input to solutions. Provide third-level support to operational roles. Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Master's degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as a Support Engineer or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in and seven (7) years of experience in lieu of a Master?s degree and five (5) years of experience. Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with: programming in languages such as C, C++, or Java; low latency messaging; capital markets' microstructure; overseeing technical delivery by vendors; network protocols including TCP and Multicast; and Red Hat Linux. This position requires one (1) year of experience with: Market Data Products; TREP, SR LABS, Wombat, or equivalent feed handlers; Bloomberg BPIPE; and Solace messaging appliances.
