Your tasks

  • Development of methods for free and constrained navigation in continuously changing warehouses and industrial environments alongside humans, robots, AGVs and other vehicles
  • Coordination of multiple robots at runtime for efficient handling of traffic situations in shared spaces
  • Safety-aware navigation considering limitations imposed by the robot’s safety controllers
  • Definition of the mid-term development roadmap in close collaboration with your navigation team
  • Test and evaluation of the developed approaches in real warehouses at our customers’ sites
  • Coordinate and lead our Robot Navigation team

Your profile

  • PhD or Master in robotics or similar  
  • 3+ years of experience with robot localization and navigation solutions
  • Excellent programming skills in C++ and Python
  • Structured and independent working style
  • Nice to have: Hands-on experience with the different localization, SLAM, navigation and path planning methods in ROS
  • First experience of leading a team, could be a student group or any other kind of team
  • Fluent English required, basic knowledge of German helpful
