Command and Control West is growing and looking for a Java developer that likes working with complex software, with a focus on back end. Together with your team you will use Java to create and update applications and interfaces for Command, Control and Communication in the Ground Based Air Defence (GBAD) domain (luftvärn in Swedish).
The team you will be a part of have about 6-8 developers, with a mix in age and experience. Although some team members have more specific rolls (tester, architect, etc.) the team have a cross-functional mindset and works together to solve their tasks.
All our teams are given a lot of freedom to find the best technical solutions without meddling managers, supported by experts and the rest of the department. As a senior developer, you will be asked to take a leading role in designing technical solutions and helping the team to be successful in their work.
To succeed in this role, you are a self-motivated person used to efficiently collaborating with team members as well as other stakeholders. You have at least five or more years of experience of working as a software developer within the area of complex system development. Experience with communication interfaces is very positive, and tactical data links even more so.
You are a structured person with the ability to prioritize. You take responsibility to deliver both your own work but also that of your team. Your passion lies in finding the best solutions to complex problems, and implementing those solutions together with your team.
You are a good communicator, fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

The department consists of approximately 65 employees and consultants and we plan to grow. We have the whole chain of competences from demand to delivery within our department.
