These are the values that define who we are, and which have empowered staggering growth since our founding in 2011. It's exciting to be North America's 7th fastest growing company! At SalesLoft, our mission is to activate the authentic seller in all of us. More than 300 Lofters are deeply committed to building the Modern Sales Engagement Platform that allows our 2000+ clients (i.e., Square, Cisco, Alteryx, Dell, MuleSoft, etc.) to reach their customers faster and more effectively. Were on a mission to redefine an industry! It is challenging work but our team of brilliant creatives makes the journey thrilling. Were fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative. We pursue excellence in everything and have a lot of fun along the way. As a testament to the culture we've collectively built, our world-class team was voted the Top Midsize Workplace by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in 2018. Our goal is to become the next $1 billion SaaS company headquartered in ATL and we need to add a Systems Engineer  in order to achieve that goal. You are a self-motivated professional who loves solving puzzles and creating stability in a fast moving environment. You will operate dozens of microservices on a cutting edge container-based platform. Responsibilities: Operate SalesLofts production platform. Monitor the health of SalesLofts production applications. Monitor the utilization of infrastructure components. Provide Operations expertise during the design and launch of new features. Solve problems and automate responses for recurrent issues. Improve performance through troubleshooting and investigative work. Serve on the teams on-call rotation and respond to production incidents and investigations. Our stack looks like this: We develop mostly in Ruby, Elixir and JavaScript, but care more about software engineering concepts than specific language wars. We do continuous deployment to production and run everything on Kubernetes, running on both AWS and GCP. We have a service-oriented design. We have 1 main product, but ~30 other service apps to support it and an internal API to connect them. It allows us to keep codebases smaller, optimize more specifically, and explore new technologies with isolation. We are mostly a PostgreSQL shop, though some of our services uses Elasticsearch. Right tool for the job. Requirements: Minimum 3 years experience (but wed love more!) operating production software environments. Proficient in UNIX administration and CLI tools. Proficient in Cloud Platform operation (AWS preferred, or GCP/Azure). Proficient in Python, Ruby or shell scripting. Familiarity with basic networking concepts. Experience using monitoring tools (e.g. CloudWatch, DataDog, NewRelic). Experience generating technical documentation. Experience with continuous delivery platforms (e.g. Jenkins, CircleCI, Codeship). Proficiency in Git and repository management. Familiarity with containerization. Nice to have: Experience operating Kubernetes in a production environment. Familiar with database concepts and SQL. Experience with capacity planning. Experience designing and deploying container-based applications using Docker (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Apache Mesos) Why work here instead of somewhere else? You will become part of an amazing culture with a supportive CEO and smart teammates who actually care. You will work with an amazing product team you can learn from and teach. You will experience joining at a high-growth/high-traction inflection point. We have challenging projects using modern technology. You will grow more than you would anywhere else. That is a promise.
