We are currently looking for a Back-End Java Developer for our Budapest office.

The Scrum Teams that the candidate will join are developing a market leader network design application targeting the automotive and aerospace industry for prominent manufacturers around the world.

The applicant is to work on a project that aims to revamp the current architecture and technology stack transitioning the application into a new era of service-oriented design and SaaS.

As real practitioners of Agile software and product development methods, we are continuously improving ourselves and our processes focusing on delivering real value to our customers while still being quality-focused.

The ideal candidate has significant Java backend development experience, a solid understanding of OOP concepts, and strong Java skills.

We are looking for a colleague who values the fact that our product is significantly more complex than mainstream web/mobile applications of our days, and requires the attitude, traits, and skills of a well-rounded engineer while offering unique learning opportunities and career development.

Their job would involve hard-core Java development using best development and QA practices and technologies: Spring (Boot), OSGi, Oracle DB, and PostgreSQL.

Our main development tools include IntelliJ, Eclipse, Git, Jenkins, Sonar, Jira, and Confluence.

We need:

• 3+ years of Java application development
• solid understanding of OO analysis and design principles
• strong Java skills
• basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• willingness and motivation to learn new frameworks & languages
• intermediate English

We prefer:

• Java SE 8+ skills
• work experience in Scrum Teams
• familiarity with Spring (Boot), other popular open-source tools/libraries/frameworks
• deeper knowledge of relational databases and SQL
