Full Stack JavaScript Developer

Job Description

We are currently seeking a JavaScript Developer to join our growing engineering team. This is a key role, focused on the building and ongoing development of industry-leading web applications. Every day, you will be interacting with and learning from excellent technologists in a friendly, collegial environment.

We are a fast-growing fintech company providing financial data to an enterprise client list of household brands, including HSBC, PayPal, World Bank, Western Union, Visa and MasterCard among others. The role:

• You’ll play a key role in the building and ongoing development of industry-leading web applications, built on virtualised and cloud platforms.

• Engineering elegant frontend experiences and building scalable backend services for both internal and external customers.

• Supporting the implementation of continuous integration to enhance deployment processes.

• Providing guidance and support to junior colleagues, while learning from and collaborating with more experienced colleagues.

• You’ll write a lot of ReactJS and NodeJS but we also use SQL.

• Building high performance and scalable backend services and APIs.

What we’re looking for:

Essential:

• 3-5 years of development experience.

• Experience with ReactJS and NodeJS.

• Good knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.

Desirable:

• Experience with Redux is a plus.

• Experience with express.js or similar.

• Unit test framework: Jest or similar.

• Good to have experience with some MVC framework: NestJS or similar.

• Experience with Python would be beneficial.

• Experience with statically typed, compiled programming languages (Golang, Scala, Java, others) is a plus.

• Experience with developing and supporting high performance and scalable backend services is a plus.
