At  Lightform , we are building the first computer made for projected AR, which can seamlessly mix real objects with projected light. It's augmented reality without the headset. Just connect Lightform to a projector and instantly create magical experiences with light. Our team previously invented  Microsoft’s IllumiRoom ,  Bot & Dolly’s Box ,  DAQRI’s AR HMD  and  Disney’s AIREAL . Lightform is seeking an experienced embedded engineer to help bring new generations of projected AR hardware products to market. Your primary responsibilities will include spearheading BSP development and board bringup for new hardware projects.    REQUIREMENTS At least 3 years engineering experience, preferably in a high growth startup BS or higher in CS/CE/EE or related engineering discipline Experience with board bring-up using Linux Kernel (GNU or Android OS) on at least one Power-PC, Arm, or equivalent embedded processor Experience Modifying Device Tree specification files Experience writing or Modifying Linux Device Drivers Experience modifying Linux OS or Android OS build systems Experience writing Test software in Linux or Android for hardware interfaces Experience with either: Writing Drivers for Camera and/or Display Interfaces, Debugging Drivers and Hardware for Camera and/or Display Interfaces, Writing Drivers for Wifi peripheral on the SDIO or PCI-e interfaces, or Debugging Drivers and Hardware for a Wifi peripheral on the sdio or pcie interfaces Knowledge of Linux Arm boot process Knowledge of DDR Ram tuning BENEFITS Get full exposure to the operations of a fast growing tech startup Directly contribute to the workflow, efficiency, and culture of the company Own the direction and impact of your work Passionate, close-knit, hard-working, transparent, and down-to-earth culture Stock options, medical, dental, and vision benefits Be creative and play with all the coolest AR/VR gadgets Gorgeous office in the SoMa district of San Francisco Startup stuff: unlimited vacation, cereal bar, lattes, fancy headphones, dog friendly office
