RoleFor our Intellectual Property DataDirect (IPDD) Development Team we are looking for a passionate senior developer that is enthusiastic to take our application to the next level. The IPDD product is providing access to our fast-growing patent collection via an API, both for bulk delivery as well as online retrieval.The developer is a self-managing, flexible, and widely deployed IT professional. He/she looks at chains and his/her own boundaries, shares his knowledge, and works to continuously improve the organization, processes, colleagues, and himself. Is customer-oriented, takes the lead in delivering sustainable value to the customer. Shows the initiative and comes with innovative solutions/ideas to improve.RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible to contribute to development projects in a professional and independent way
  • Design (both functional and technical), builds/configures, tests, and implements (including deployment) the functionality and/or solution in accordance with the specific processes.
  • Assure the quality of data and processes
  • Liaise with the IP Content team and other departments to streamline the development process
  • Performs business requirements analysis and imposes impacts on this
  • Performs and/or supports the preliminary research
  • Monitor the effectiveness and sustainability of the solution direction (we do the right things)
  • Actively participate in developing new features and functionality
  • Makes and adjust a detailed forecast of his work
  • Plan your development in agreement with the Team lead and Software Development Manager

  • Bachelor/Master (HBO/WO) level of working and thinking with a technical background
  • 5-10 years of software engineering / professional software development
  • You are experienced in developing for high volume production environments
  • 5+ years’ experience with developing in C# and good working knowledge of Microsoft SQL server
  • Good working knowledge of the .NET framework, especially WCF
  • Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, SOAP)
  • Familiar with best practices like SOLID, TDD, CI/CD, unit testing and end2end testing
  • Above all, you love to write code (and strongly believe that release management is essential for a stable product)
  • Familiar with patterns like SOLID and TDD
  • Experience in working in a Scrum/Agile team
  • Good knowledge of the English language
  • Knowledge of Intellectual Property Data
  • Developing for the cloud (e.g. Amazon, Azure, private OpenStack cloud)
  • A passion for (deployment) automation and monitoring
  • Strong attitude to testing and benchmarking
  • Experience with XML, XSLT, LINQ
  • A passion for deployment automation and logging (what happens where and when)
  • Basic GIT experience
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence
