We established Hyperoptic's Belgrade office in 2013, starting with only 20 Developers to support the business. As of today we are 400 people and growing superfast - once a small start-up has become a success story in Belgrade, with over 1300 employees globally. Due to continuous expansion Hyperoptic are hiring for a Core Network Engineer who goes beyond the expected. As Core Network Engineer your mission will be to maintain core network services, manage, and handle network incidents, create and keep network documentation up to date and run small network projects. What will you be doing?
- Maintain core network services - perform and plan upgrade of core and aggregation network devices; perform daily maintenance tasks on core network devices; participate in implementation of new core network devices and create configuration for new ones; install relevant software and patches on network devices etc
- Network optimisation and implementation of network services - plan, test and implement new network services; optimisation of core, distribution and access network; prepare configuration for new core/distribution switches
- Manage and handle network incidents - react promptly to alarms received from monitoring tools, ticketing system or emails; provide support to Network Operations Centre (NOC) engineers
- Create and keep network documentation up to date
What are we looking for?
- CCNP certification or relevant experience
- Extensive experience working in a Network Operations Centre in ISP would be desirable
- Good knowledge of Ethernet, MPLS, IP, Routing and broadband technologies and protocols
- Basic understanding of troubleshooting network issues related to Microsoft and Linux operating systems and in live environment
- Advanced written & spoken English language skills
