Your RoleYou will work as part of an agile development team with members from Romania and the US to analyze business application requirements, identify concerns and develop action plans.You will work closely with the team on a comprehensive .NET based product consisting of web front ends, back end APIs, and standalone microservices, in a hybrid cloud environment (AWS and private cloud). General and in-depth knowledge of relational databases and SQL Server development is a must, in addition to general knowledge of AWS database services. Experience with .NET and front-end technologies is a big plus.Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain both new and existing code that satisfies the business requirements
• Create, maintain, and performance tune stored procedures, tables, triggers, and indexes
• Troubleshoot and address problems wherever they exist
• Write readable, extensible code while being mindful of performance requirements
• Conduct design and code reviews and collaborate to ensure your own code passes review
• Leverage our Cloud infrastructure (AWS) to engineer solutions that make the best of it
• Adhere to best practice development standards

Your TeamIHS Markit Research Signals offers a wide range of fully-integrated research and signal management services through a rich set of analytical tools supporting sophisticated performance analysis, research, idea generation, portfolio exposure analysis, and bespoke model development.We are looking for a Senior SQL Server Database Developer with AWS experience to join the team in Bucharest, Romania.Your expertise

• Minimum 5 years of database development experience with SQL Server
• In-depth knowledge of SQL Server and Transact SQL
• Experience with AWS database services
• Experience spearheading architecture and code initiatives
• Experience with modern software development life-cycle
• Speak and write fluently in English

Its a bonus if you also have:

• Experience with C# and Microsoft .NET framework (ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, Web API, ADO.NET)
• Experience using front-end Web technologies: HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, VueJS)
• Experience using Python
• Experience with development for AWS and using AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, ECS, EC2
• Experience with GIT and GIT flows
• Financial services background
