Job Summary:

You will be responsible for the design, implementation and support of extract/transform/load (ETL) operations using Juvare products. As you grow in the role, you will take on writing new ETL services and eventually help with the development of a self-service portal, all the while looking for ways to simplify and optimize the process.

As part of a team that practices a disciplined development methodology, you will interact directly with our Clients, Delivery Services and Support Teams to develop effective, reliable and scalable solutions in an Agile, test-driven environment.

We are looking for self-directed individuals who also functions well in a team environment. You should have the tenacity to work with clients to solve their business and support challenges.

Technologies include (but are not limited to): YAML, JSONata, TypeScript, React, AWS, Docker and Jest.

Interest in diverse technologies will help qualify and differentiate candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal and external customers to define and implement configuration for Juvare's ETL products.
  • Help write Typescript microservices needed to extend the product.
  • Relentlessly optimize the experience through documentation, templates and scripts.
  • Eventually help write a ReactJS app for a client self-service
  • Develop strong, collaborative relationships across teams and departments.
  • Work closely with Product Support to provide effective second and third level client support.
  • Include Security as a focus every time an application is created or modified.

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar field, or equivalent technical experience.
  • 2-3 years of software engineering experience
  • As this position may require you to access sensitive government information, you must hold or be capable of passing an SF-85 background check and obtaining public trust clearance.
  • Experience with data manipulation and transformations.
  • Experience developing back-end solutions using TypeScript or similar language.
  • Experience developing client-side web applications using technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript and React.
  • Experience in working with scrum/Kanban teams preferably using SAFe
  • Experience with web security, OWASP preferred.
  • Experience with JIRA and/or Confluence
  • Experience with Git or GitLab.
  • Experience with public sector/Federal IT compliance preferred.

Skills/ Knowledge Requirements:

  • Ability to rapidly absorb and implement new technologies and procedures.
  • Understanding of modern TypeScript features.
  • Object Oriented Design.
  • Proven experience with code management.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience using Monitoring and Alerting tools, (Datadog, etc.).
  • Validated knowledge of Continuous Integration tools (Gitlab).
  • Experience using AWS.
  • Comprehension of the OWASP Top 10 security best practices.
  • Experience with unit and functional testing.
