Bid Manager – Public Sector

Contributes to deal qualification activities, leads the bid process from qualification through to proposal submission, due diligence, and negotiations through to contract signature. Manages bid schedule, budget, resources and high-quality deliverables, assesses and addresses the effectiveness of the win strategy, ensures on-going focus on opportunity qualification and the development of a coherent proposition leading to successful deal closure in accordance with the Sales Methodology of Scalefocus.

Reach new professional heights and:

  • Take full ownership of the implementation of the end-to-end management of the company bid activities, including processes, procedures and bid governance models
  • Prepare and develop bid strategy for the public sector, value propositions, services/solution development plans, commercial considerations, partner identification and risk management
  • Review and respond to Requests-for-proposals (RFPs) and other bid opportunities, as well as actively search and drive participation in additional RFPs from new sources
  • Be responsible for preparation of Public Tender’s documents for a variety of different public contracting authorities within expected timelines. This includes as relevant: sourcing relevant capacity statements, formatting of professional resumes, searching and formatting project references and completed supplier specific forms as required by the public contracting authorities concerned, legal compliance, etc.
  • Prioritize bid opportunities based on market and company potential and respective timelines
  • Accountable for bid planning, best practices, critical path, resource needs and deal orchestration
  • Understands and leads the opportunity through the Sales Methodology, ensuring end-to-end compliance with company processes (Governance)
  • Ensures clean close-down of bid as defined within the Sales Methodology and in accordance with local requirements including handover of key artefacts and briefing of contract highlights
  • Prepare and compile technical and marketing information and submit all required documentation within the specified deadlines
  • Calculate and generate quotes for prices of products/services/solutions
  • Follow up and organize reviews with stakeholders, internal teams and end customers throughout the entire life- cycle of bid management
  • Coordinate and manage the bid team resources (pre-sales, sales infra, Delivery, PMs etc.) and interdependencies to develop a high-quality solution and proposal, that meets client objectives and showcases company’s capabilities
  • Support the orchestration of other selling activities that contribute to demand generation and opportunity qualification

If you have/are:

  • Experience and proven track record in developing and delivering large-scale bids
  • Open-minded, with excellent communication skills, passionate about bid management with great customer focus
  • BSc/MSc degree in Technology, Business Administration, Economics or other equivalent
  • Proficient knowledge in English
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of legal framework and tender procedures, related to public tenders in North Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro
  • Proven track record in governance or public sector administration

And you stand out with:

  • High comfort level, situational fluency and senior presence among senior customer executives across procurement, logistics, IT, materials and finance
  • IT industry domain expertise is a must. Participation in bid management related to CRM/ERP implementation projects is key advantage.
