C++ Developer at Reservation department
Summary of the role:
Reservation is the beating heart of many Amadeus products: it handles critical steps of a trip reservation, including booking, ticketing, PNR management, etc.
Our organization (CPS-RES) drives these reservation functions for different travel content types, such as air, land and sea. We are accountable for our unique reservation platform, used both by Airlines and Distribution actors.
With the travel industry rapidly changing, the RES organization is involved in key on-going and new projects at the crossroad of all the business units. We are also working on technical challenges, on our platform’s modernization (e.g. peaking our applications, migrating to the cloud).
DRI (Departure Control System - Reservation Interactions) team is in charge of the interactions between the DCS and REServation. This includes all the flows triggered during the DCS window, at the airport and for selling extra services like additional badges or seats.
Are you the C++ Developer we are looking for?
Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies
Develop/modernize/refactor C++ code of our Inventory module
Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments
Actively participate in code reviews, team meetings, and solutions discussions
Build functional knowledge on application scope and associated domain
Improve resilience and monitoring capabilities
Conduct unit, package and performance tests and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines
Support the customer by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Manager or Product Definition Analyst
About the ideal candidate
To succeed in your new role, you’re required to have relevant experience in the following areas:
Strong C++ experience
RDBMS/SQL (Oracle preferred, No SQL like Couchbase is a plus
Experience with Standard Template Library (STL)
Design Patterns
Unix/Linux
XML / Edifact / Json REST
Architecture: knowledge of SOA/Event driven architecture
University degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
Comfortable work in a distributed agile environment in an international team
Good level of written and oral English
