About the team and the role

You will join an experienced team of engineers dedicated to delivering value through software craftsmanship. We believe in self-organizing teams and we get motivated by being accountable, with the pre-requisite that mandate must be in the team for how the solutions should be implemented. If you seek this position, you will be interviewed and evaluated by the team, we also choose our teammates.

As a team we are guided by our users, stakeholders within the rest if Group IT, and the business units. When we get confused, we take a glimpse at the agile manifesto.

The role as a software engineer in our team not only entails technical know-how, but also great communication skills, reaching out to other colleagues outside the team is one important thing being a developer.

About the job

With over 245M traceable parcels and letters per year, our job is to notify recipients about important shipments events via app push, sms, email or letters. Our mission is to do so in the most reliable and user-friendly way possible.

As a backend engineer you will work with infrastructure, microservices and scalable systems that must cope with high data traffic and complex logic for logistics.

Some of our technologies/techniques:

• Microservices/Serverless
• Typescript/Javascript
• Java (Spring Boot)
• Kubernetes
• NodeJS
• AWS - Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, S3, Kinesis to name a few
• Azure
• React, Vue 3
• Grafana, Loki, ELK

Who are you?

Above everything else you love to code and your belief is that a good software architecture is developed, not specified, secondly you like Java and you think you are pretty good at it.

The team is experienced but learning and being open to new things is very important, so we think that you are a person that likes to share mistakes and insights.

You have knowledge and experience of:

• Java including Spring Boot
• AWS or similar cloud platforms (Azure, OpenStack or Google Cloud)
• High data traffic/load services
• 4-5 years of related work experience
• Academic education in computer science or equivalent experience
• English in speech and writing
