Job Description

 

Our goal is to craft experiences which will delight our customers across more than 60 countries and 100+ websites which are built on top of the platform. You will be building new features on top of WordPress VIP (PHP, React) and APIs on AWS (Serverless, TypeScript).

 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced React JavaScript Developer to join our team. The primary focus of this role will be on developing Gutenberg blocks for our WordPress projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong JavaScript front-end development skills, especially React.js.

 

Responsibilities

• Develop new user-facing features for our CMS platform based on WordPress using React.js and Gutenberg blocks

• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use

• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code

• Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

• Participate in code review and team meetings

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, specifically with React.js development

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model

• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles

• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)

• Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript

• Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs

• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token

• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools

• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Vite, NPM, etc.

• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

• Familiarity with code versioning tools, such as Git

• Experience with Docker

• Possesses an understanding of and commitment to web standards, including web accessibility standards (WCAG)

• Familiarity with WordPress development (Gutenberg, multisite, configuration, parent/child themes, plugins) is a plus
